Since 2008, Eden Academy has presented a distance learning course in Worship Movement. As far as we know, this is a unique course and the only of its kind in the world. We have compiled this course to enable individuals and their groups, who are too far to attend our courses personally, to learn the same curriculum as our other students.

As with any other practical course, you are required to have certain aids and equipment:
Practical assignments must be presented in dvd or video format which can be played on an ordinary dvd or video player.
A pair of flags (this can be obtained from Eden Academy of Worship or you can make your own flags)
A tambourine (please consult with Izak before buying a tambourine)
A DVD player
A video/DVD camera to record your practical assignments
Accessible email facility
A white outfit: For ladies, a double circle skirt and top (or you can acquire the prescribed Eden costume please contact Liz). For men, white pants and shirt or T-shirt (or you
can acquire the prescribed Eden costume)
It will be to your advantage to have skype as you will then be able to communicate visually with Izak concerning certain technical queries.
Please note that this is not a dance course aimed at professional excellence. The aim of this video/DVD course is to bring students into a closer worship relationship with God. We pray that the techniques and theory which you study during each unit will enable you to move more freely before God and to express, with your body, your love towards Him.
Who can enrol for this course
Only serious students and teachers need apply.
You do not require any dance experience.
NB: You will have to be physically healthy and reasonably fit.
What will be presented
A new dance/technical sequence will be presented on each DVD/unit.
When the student has completed a unit, he/she can request a new one.
One module consists of 5 units. The student can request a certificate when a module has been completed.
The standard of the practical course will include easy as well as more difficult work.
By doing the same repertoire than all the other Eden students for a particular year, students may join in the national feast celebrations of Eden Ministries, provided they are equipped with the standard Eden costume. Please note that only the original choreography of dances will be presented at the feasts.
Syllabus Students need to be able to spend at least 2 hours per week on the contents of the DVD course.
Students will be required to do a theoretical assignment for some of the units. Additional study time is necessary for the theoretical work.
Students will be required to do a practical assignment at the end of each unit by submitting a video/DVD in which they present the techniques/dances which they have learnt during that unit. Students cannot fail a test, but corrections will be made when work is not done correctly after which the student will have to submit another video/DVD. This will continue until the work is done correctly. Students in Gauteng can do the practical assignment on a given date in Randburg. Arrangements must be made well in advance.
NB: Students may only progress to the next unit when the work of the previous unit has been approved by Izak Coetzee.
Enrolled students may teach the contents of the course to their own groups, however, they may not distribute or sell the contents of the course i.e. DVDs and manuals, etc.
NB: Although groups are welcome to come and celebrate the national feast celebrations arranged by Eden, only enrolled students of the course will be allowed to minister at the national feasts.
